Have not been walking for 2 weeks now. the pain on the left heel is almost gone. I hurts most early in the morning but it's bearable. So, today, decided to walk around the neighborhood. Completed 5km, hopefully the heel behaves ...

What you have is called plantar fasciitis... I suffered this for a year. Now it's manageble. Thanks to Vibram Five Fingers and ultrasound treatment. Stretching before and after is key. Go to http://talk.plantar-fasciitis.org/ and read more.

@LKF - Ohh ... I thought that my weight is placing extra pressure onto my heels. Th pain starts at the ball of the heels and radiated to the arch of the foot. Both feet hurts actually, but my left heel hurts more. thanks for the link will read up. Maybe a stupid question? Is it serious enough to seek doctors treatment?

Stretching
Stretching is best. Do the routine as recommended. Pushing against the wall with one leg forward and one backward. Move the ankle to the back.
Hot and Cold Treatment
Can use hot and cold treatments. These treatments help to break the clogged ‘dirt’ caused by torn tinny fibers of the ligament below the foot. Basically expansion and contraction. Latest treatment is ultrasound. Soaking your feet in hot water helps drain away the ‘dirt’ caused by these torn fibers of ligaments. Ligament is

of made protein, i.e. collagen, glucosamine etc. These are complex protein tissues and take time to grow or heal. The reason? Very few blood vessels are connected to these ligaments and tissues. With that, the tearing will cause more ‘dirt’, thus causes inflammation. To drain, the ‘hurt’ ligament is also the drainer…. When you are warmed up, the ligament will be in action, more blood will flow thus draining starts…therefore you won’t feel the pain even while running.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound treatment by sport doctor is RM80-RM150…too expensive. And not practical to see the doctor twice a day. If you buy one from US, cost around USD110 to USD250, you do it twice a day. Recommended to do more than two times a day to treat PF for good. I ordered this from US and got a friend to pick it up there. Tried it and it works great. Pain gone.

Thanks for all the links and advice. First is to get the scholl sole support. There's a Guardian close to where I live. Thank you again.

@LKF, consulted a doctor friend and he agreed that it's plantar fasciitis. He recommends the cold treatments and steroid based topical cream to be applied at the heel area.

Forget about steroid treatment. That is old school and poison too!
