New PR baby by exactly 3 minutes! I essentially did this race alone, but an angel named Kelly ran with me the last mile - sooooo glad she did. Miles 1&2 were a 3:1 interval, Mile 3 was a 2:1 interval and the rest was 1:1 with the run being at a 180 cadence to make sure it was as fast and efficient as possible. REALLY great strategy - probably should have done it from the beginning. Miles 1-4 were exactly a 12:30 pace, but the rest was straight in a 15 mph headwind - TOUGH . . .and I was spent - really wished I had a gu at mile 3 - needed it BADLY! AWESOME race, very very very well organized. Everyone was so friendly!
