great Sweet Redemption Run in Cameron Park trail system 19.77 mi 05:01 15:13 pace

Elevation: +3064.1 ft / -3058.6 ft. Man, I needed this run after my experience last weekend. My goals were to spend serious time on my feet, feel like I could keep going for a long time past when I stopped, and to crush nutrition and hydration. Check for all three!

Pace felt very comfortable and INCLUDES a total of about 34 minutes of time at "aid stations" and helping some dudes who found a dog who was hit by a car. They took him to the vet and hopefully he'll be fine (though I doubt he'll use his back legs again). :(

So, if this was a race, I ran 19.77 miles of some seriously gnarly single-track with +3064.1 ft / -3058.6 ft in 5:01:07. I'm really happy with that y'all. Not the fastest, but maybe the happiest out there today. I was screaming like a warrior and doing karate kicks—and some serious booty dancing and hip thrusting at around mile 15. I threw in a little bit for everyone.

Nutrition and hydration were spot on for the day. Getting things dialed in!

Now I gotta go eat!

Thanks, Patricia. I did make it a fun experience. Doing that, however, was much easier since I had all the calories, salt, and water that I needed. :)
