    Strength training went well. Pushed myself to my limits without overdoing it. Muscles felt a little trembly afterwards, but not in a bad way.

      Going to be tough to find a half marathon in Florida during the summer. Just too hot here, but there are a few. Check out These are trail half marathons. There is another one down in Cocoa Beach area called Midsummer Night. I have not seen any information on that race for 2013.

      You'd have to wait until next December, but the Jacksonville Bank Marathon is flat and shaded, which is really nice. I have to say though...I was disappointed that there was no runner's expo and the post race party/gathering at the finish left a lot to be desired. If you want a challenge, the Kansas City 1/2 Marathon or the Hospital Hill Run (in KC) will certainly give you that! They also have a great expo and great post race events. Good luck!

    Sore calves and quads from yesterday's run, so decided to switch things up today by walking (no jogging), but keep things challenging by adding an incline.

    Definitely beginning to pick up the pace a little - 2 miles in 25 minutes rather than last week's 2 miles in 27 minutes. The Walk, run, walk, run plan continues until all I want to do is run!

    Had a great time out at Kayak Amelia with the family yesterday - kayaking around Little Talbot Island and Fort George Island. :)

    Good workout - taking things slow and allowing myself the time to build my endurance back up. Walked three minutes, ran two minutes for the entire workout.

    First workout of 2013 - following the C25k plan (sort of). 3 minutes walking, 2 minutes running (repeat until 30 minutes has been reached).
