  1. RUN
    tired J 2.26 mi 00:29 12:48 pace

First run back after being sick for 2 weeks. Still recovering a little, but needed to get outside.

  2. RUN
    good C & O Canal-Great Falls 10.34 mi 02:02 11:47 pace

Fantastic run! It was fun being able to run on the C & O Canal, again. Granted, much of it was icy and slippery, but the company of Mike S., Larry H. and Dave F. made the miles go by quickly. ... read more

      Hi-five:

Kathleen, thank you for being a big part of one of the most enjoyable runs I've ever had. I really enjoyed everything about the day, but I certainly enjoyed having you as a running partner this morning. It was awesome! We'll do it again!

Great to meet you and Mike yesterday. That heron was beautiful, first time I've seen a blue one out there. Looking forward to the next run!

  3. RUN
good residential roads 5.01 mi 00:54 10:48 pace

What a delightful evening run. Used my knuckle lights and ran around my son's neighborhood. Up, down and all around. It felt good to breathe some close to sea level air!

  4. RUN
    alright 1.5 mi 00:20 13:02 pace

Cold, wind and snow! I hope the weather in VA and MD will be better!

  5. RUN
    alright J+ 2.62 mi 00:31 11:49 pace

Running in the wind, again, but couldn't quite get the sunshine today. Still, it wasn't cold. Had to squeeze this in early. Things to do! (Ha. As I'm typing this, the sun is finally moving far ... read more

  6. RUN
    alright 4 mi 00:50 12:28 pace

Other than the wind being around 20mph today, it was a nice day to be out - sunny and warm (43 degrees) for January. More snow has melted making the path easier to run on.

  7. RUN
    alright J+ 2.53 mi 00:31 12:15 pace

A little windy, but not too cold today. The snow on the prairie is still slippery and hard to run on.

  8. RUN
    alright J+ 2.93 mi 00:36 12:24 pace

Mother Nature decided to tease me with bright sunshine on the way out. On the way back, the wind picked up, the temperature dropped and the once-warming sun hid behind a large band of dark clouds.... read more

  9. RUN
    alright J 2.27 mi 00:31 13:51 pace

BRR! 2.3 degrees when I got back, plus a 10-13 mph wind makes for a slow, cold run. The snow out here is dry and slippery (not good for my ITB). I think I need spikes!

    • Mike S.

Way to brave the arctic weather! I hope your ITB forgives you.

Ran with Taj, again. Finally had a run that felt decent.

  11. RUN
    alright J 2.27 mi 00:28 12:24 pace

Ran with Taj tonight and used my new knuckle lights. The lights are bright and better than headlamps.

  12. RUN
    blah 2.27 mi 00:28 12:11 pace

I know that doing a snowshoe race isn't the best thing for my ITB, but I guess I'll worry about that afterward. Today, I tried running with my ITB strap directly around my knee, instead of over my... read more

You looked pretty good out there. Just take it easy tomorrow and your knee will hold up.

Knee didn't bother me quite as much today, so I'll take what I can get. WINDY today!

  14. RUN
    alright J + 3.48 mi 00:44 12:32 pace

Knee hurt. I'm tired of this.

    • Mike S.

I wish that would stop! We should get back to the health club and get you some cross-training.

  15. RUN
    blah J + 2.44 mi 00:31 12:39 pace

Felt so tired that I almost didn't run. Seemed more like a slow-motion slog than a run. Time for a shower to wake me up!

    • Mike S.

Your son will be here soon and tomorrow is going to be a great day!

Good for you to run despite feeling tired. Frankly impressed that you would get out in the cold Wyoming weather.

Short run with Taj. Still having twinges of ITB pain in left knee. Quite anxious for this to go away.

  17. walk

Felt good to be out in the brisk air. Moon was still bright.

  18. RUN
    alright J 2.28 mi 00:27 11:51 pace

We've had a nice string of sunny, low-wind days! I can only hope it will continue for a while longer.
