I'm finding out that running with a partner is much more fun and enjoyable than I previously thought. It sure does make the time fly.

I wonder if i'll be able to keep this pace for 26.2 miles. According to a Runners World article about HR training, I should be using 80-85% of max for a marathon. My average today was 167: 85% of my previously calculated 196 max.

    You'll be able to keep that pace if you set up the proper marathon training schedule with weekly tempos, intervals, and long slow days, in between rest/easy days. good luck!
