My left calf is still very sore. The first couple miles were fine but it felt worse the farther I ran. I would have stopped earlier but it was an out and back run.

Bummer - hope that heals up quickly for you.

Marathon: One day of rest for every mile raced. You're not there yet, and you ran a race last weekend. You should take some days off or you'll be injured worse than you already are.

Agree with Chaz. Busting out the 5K last weekend and still running sub 7 minute runs is not the best way to let your calf heal up.

Pretty certain that Chaz has some sort of big screen with an alert system whenever anyone has a niggle of an injury after a marathon. All kidding aside...you know what you need to get better. Rest helps you come back faster for the next cycle.

I know...i know...It's just so hard to NOT run. If I DO run, i need to NOT start out with Kevin. These miles need to be slow, easy. recovery. I'm stubborn.

I know the feeling Matt....I guess it's a good thing to feel guilt about not running, than other things!! Good job and hope you feel better!
