Drove to WV for a solo long run on the C&O canal. The plan was 16-18 so I went out 8 to see how I felt and would add on accordingly.
I turned around in 54:53 for the 8 miles (6:51 pace) and picked it up a bit on the way back. I had to stop 3 times on the way back due to a nasty lower side cramp that I had to stretch out. I'm blaming it on lack of fluids but I don't know for sure.
Legs were fried at the end but it was kind of nice to push through on tired legs just like a true marathon.
Looking forward to an easy week coming up.
