Long run. Went to the bike path w/ Nik for a test run for New Jersey next week. It's flat as a pancake there, same as the NJ course. Wore all the Brooks gear I'm planning on wearing next week as a test, and it worked just fine. Felt pretty great throughout, but started to flag around mile 8.5 or so and started to get mighty thirsty -- we were running around noon in sunny weather and that stretch of the East Bay Bike Path doesn't have a lot of shade. Took brief 1/10th mile walking breaks every mile to get some water. Felt good but tired by the end, and afterward, now, my legs are pretty crampy. I'm not used to running so long on such a flat route.
