Crossfit 9 am class.

Warmup:
800m run
20 arm swings each way, 5 squats between directions

It's been a while since I've actually run. Started out great, got tired a quarter-mile in. I'm nursing some kind of chest-congestion thing that made me wheeze and cough pretty badly. Shit's rattling around in there. I don't know. So the second half of the run was lousy.

Mobility:
Hold middle split for 2 min
Hold bottom of squat for 2 min
Shoulder passes w/ PVC pipe for 2 min
Hold bottom of Skin the Cat for 1 min
Hold bottom of ring dip for 1 min
Hold pike stretch for 2 min

Did pretty well on this stuff, but had to scale for things I'm not able to do, like STCs and ring dips.

WOD:
12 min AMRAP partner WOD:
Partner 1 - 300m row
Partner 2 - AMRAP 5 pull-ups, 10 pushups, 15 squats.

Partnered with Nik. We got in 8 rounds and 2 pushups. Did pretty well on this WOD. I'm just not used to the relay aspect, and it's loud in there, so there was some confusion once in a while. Doing the workout itself was fine, but the nagging cough and chest congestion came back toward the end of the workout and afterward. Will drink lots of hot fluids to soothe it.

Was lying on the floor stretching afterward and noticed some weird swirling before my eyes. At first it looked like wavering light from a ceiling fan, but then I realized there's no ceiling fan in there. Then I thought maybe my vision was going funny. Finally I realized the swirling stuff was steam coming off my face. Liked the 9 am class -- I'll stick with this time at least once a week.
