Was supposed to be a 4-mile easy run. Nik had 10 on her schedule and wasn't entirely into it, so she joked that I should come with her. I said what the hell -- why not? We took the dogs and ran a fairly flat route by the waterfront and ran all the way south into Tiverton and back. Felt fairly strong throughout and pretty relaxed, but I still need to keep my back straighter and my bum in more. Had a serving of gel and some Endurolytes at the turnaround, a whole bottle of water. Need to keep taking the second bottle on 10s and up. Most importantly, it feels nice to drop everything and knock out an unexpected 10-miler without worrying about it.

    i think you guys are really clever managing to run with dogs. I have 2 whippets and i tried to run with them once. They were completely mad and zooming all over the place.
