No trainer just the runners world website that puts together plans for you and Lisa, who lives above us and ran competively through high school and college. She's very knowledgable about running and good at making me work harder/set my goals higher! :)

Done is better than not done. P90X should count double as hard as it is. I read your post on Carrie's entry. So how did you improve your hip strength?

I had a series of exercises I do 4x a week.
wall slides (i do 30 each side): lay on your side against a wall and slide your leg up fairly high and then back down slowly a la Jane Fonda :)
Resistence Hip Abduction (I do 3 sets of 15): http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/HipAbductor/CBHipAbduction.html

(I also do this bringing my leg back 3 sets of 15)
Monster Walks: I use a resistence band around my ankles, and then squat walk trying to stay at the same height the entire time. (a variation on this: http://www.ronjones.org/Coach&Train/BodyXerciseLibrary/Alternative/Bands-MonsterWalk.html
And for awhile I was also do one legged squats on a bosu ball.
Since I am doing p90x and A LOT of squats, Ive taken that out of my hip routine!8 months ago • Like

Awesome experience! People are usually so focused on their own results and she actually set her self to the side for you. So cool. I think if you ever have the chance you should try to do that for someone else. I'm still needing that wax. I will try and call today!
