YES! Started off a little sluggish but after 2 mile warm up, the 5 miles at half marathon pace were great! Aimed for 6:30 min/mi. Actual 6:29, 6:28, 6:29, 6:31, 6:15 (downhill). Still felt awesome after so I backed off to marathon pace (7:00 min/mi) for the next two and it felt easy. I really needed this run. More than anything I attribute it to the 63 degree cool weather, which bodes well for Vermont. I doubt the wine, mussels, tacos, and beer on 5 hours of sleep are the secret recipe :)


I think you did 5 miles at MP not HMP. Great workout!

:) Nope, no way I'm holding 6:30 for 26 miles... but 7:00 min/mi felt do-able.

Run 7:00 until mile 20 and then pick it up. You totally have it in you.

Nice pace work mate, almost the same as mine. Just the little matter of it being 30 seconds quick per/mile ;-)
