  1. RUN
    good GSH Summer Sizzler Bi-Weekly ... 4.96 mi 00:35 07:06 pace

Last Summer Sizzler 8k of 2014. I knew that I wouldn't be able to go full speed & I didn't. Managed to keep the pace steady & finish strong. Great series, GSH!

  2. RUN
blah am in Pennypack Park, Philly 4.4 mi 00:46 10:20 pace

I wanted to get some miles in before traveling home. These were some "get 'em done" am miles...nothing more.

  3. RUN
good Steady Sunday 10 mi 01:27 08:39 pace

I'm glad to get these miles in, as it's been a couple weeks without a long run. My slightly sore hamstring was surprisingly tolerant of this mileage.

  4. RUN
good Holyoke Elks Weekly 5k 3.1 mi 00:21 06:36 pace

    Good solid effort throughout.

  5. RUN
    am miles 4.21 mi 00:40 09:24 pace

    Tuesday am in the park.

  6. RUN
    Sunday am 4 mi 00:43 10:37 pace

Slowly on some trails, including an exploration south of Porter Lake, then some road miles to get back home.

  7. RUN
    Thursday am 2.7 mi 00:32 11:51 pace

    Slowly on the trails...

  8. RUN
    great GSH Summer Sizzler Bi-Weekly ... 4.96 mi 00:34 06:47 pace

Fantastic conditions & a good solid effort throughout. I think that this was my best 8k this year. Happy times!

  9. RUN
alright Sunday miles with Nicole 10.41 mi 01:47 10:15 pace

    Early am loop around Longmeadow.

  10. RUN
    alright Earl's Trails Adventure 6 mi 01:13 12:09 pace

Earl's Trails swallowed me up & eventually spit me back out. It took me a while to find my way out of the woods today & or started raining within 10 minutes after I for back to the car.

Hey Tom - I parked at the Notch Visitors Center & crossed Rt 116, entering Earl's Trails by the depository. Great trails over there. I never mind getting lost there, as long as I have the time for it.

I usually park down by Hampshire College indoor tennis building (near the Eric Carle) and go in down there by the lower reservoir. Or I sometimes park on Chmura road and go in there.
      Great stuff.

  11. RUN
great Holyoke Elks Weekly 5k 3.1 mi 00:21 06:39 pace

I felt tight warming up, but conditions were perfect & I had a decent race. No sign of that tightness during the race. I think that my Garmin 210 is done for...the split/reset button ruptured &... read more

Nice race and great pace Michael. Well done. Apparently, going Garminless agrees with you.

    good Pre-race warmup 4.07 mi 00:38 09:23 pace

Trotted up the hill from Ashley Reservoir to McLean Reservoir & ran one circuit, then back down to the starting line of the weekly Elks 5k. Hamstring felt tight & I was wondering how the ra... read more

  13. RUN
good GSH Summer Sizzler Weekly 5k 3.1 mi 00:23 07:18 pace

I held some in reserve for the first half & came on fairly strong through the rest of the race. Had a nice sprint to the finish with another runner in pursuit...I held him off, but not by much!

  14. RUN
good Northampton Weekly XC 5K 3.1 mi 00:22 07:03 pace

Nice evening in Northampton for the weekly cross country race. Held back a bit & gave it a good effort toward the end.

    blah Gah 10.31 mi 01:37 09:24 pace

First time running with a heart rate monitor in months...something told me to put it on just before going out the door. It was muggy, but I felt ok for the first 6 miles, then I started to feel cla... read more

Good information for you to plan on maybe next time - could be a little more hydration at that point would help.

    good Bird 4.59 mi 00:40 08:38 pace

Feeling nostalgic after work & inspired by Nancy's recent mention of this route, I decided to run The Bird. Check it out...it looks like a bird on the map. Bird is the Word.
