  1. I woke up late for work this morning, so no commute miles today. It's shocking to me because I NEVER wake up late for work. I'm generally always up at 6am. I guess I was more tired than I... read more

A few weeks ago, I was riding home and stuck in traffic. A Jimmy Johns bike messenger pulls up next to me and we start talking and ended up riding home just talking.

I really really do not like running.

Usually do two workouts a day, but I need to rest today, and I'm letting my miles stand today at 2 on foot.

City Park Night 11 mi 00:46 14.2mph pace

Nighttime fast laps in City Park are hands down my new happy place.

  5. RUN
    City Park 3.5 mi

On hindsight, going for a run in 90 degree heat was a terrible idea.

  6. RUN
    City Park 3.7 mi

Running is a thing I do now, I guess.

Day After Birthday Ride 20 mi

Was going to go on a longish ride, but it was 99 degrees at points so, we just did our standard 20 mile hill loop. I didn't drink enough water and got slightly sunburned. Awesome. Its hard to ... read more

Fantastic post birthday ride Michael. Sounds like a good call to cut it a bit short. Nice job getting it done.

Nice miles Michael. 2 water bottles. 1 filled with bloody mary and the other with mimosa. Done.

PM COMMUTE OF SLOW 15.9 mi

My idea of commuting home slowly is not going full blast when there's headwind. Still pretty fast though.

I use the Gatorskins on my Florida bike and I'm here to tell you they are not bullet proof. They are better than a lot of other choices though. Between the debris and the materials used on many of the roads, those are really tough on any tires, including car tires. You might try to work on different things ... such as cadence ... if you don't feel like a noodling ride from time to time. Nice job on your commuting miles.

Sounds like you had my Monday as far as the punctures go. 3 CO2's and 2 tubes later, I did manage to get back home. But not much to spare. :-) Excellent consistency on those tired legs. Nice job.
