Pouring Rain Run 6 mi 00:46 07:36 pace

After getting rained out at the pool, I put on my running shoes and headed out.
What started as a drizzle, turned into an absolute driving rain storm. Dodging puddles and splashing cars was a good mental test. I passed. Clearly, I'm mental.
As the rain really started to pick up, so did my pace. Miles 4 & 5 were 7:14 and 7:13. When I got back, I had to wring everything out in the sink. Soaked to the bone. Glad I wore my lighter shoes for this one. http://app.strava.com/runs/17244427

    Now we're talkin'! Awesome! I do love a rainy run once and a while myself. It might as well have been raining here with humidity at 98%. Tad says you're running the Alien Half. Do you get to run it at full speed?

    I'm not running that at full speed... not even close. I have a half Ironman the following weekend.

    I won't be running it at full speed either, mostly because of the time of day. That seems to be the consensus of everyone I've talked with. It will still be fun, though! Is your 1/2 IM the one in Maine to honor your Mom? That's a really great reason to participate, and I'll sure you'll do well.

    Yes Gail. I will have family there for it, too. We will be doing a memorial ceremony for her the day before the race. It will be bittersweet, I'm sure.
