  1. RUN
    Treadmill 3.01 mi 00:32 10:44 pace

Easy 3 miles. May be sacrilegious to post this on DM, but I've decided to focus on strength for the next few months, so I'll just be running easy here and there for a while. It's tim... read more

  2. RUN
    good Treadmill 4.51 mi 00:45 09:58 pace

Another easy, slow 45 min. It's surprisingly hard to keep my HR under 75% of max (about 132 for me). Intervals tomorrow.

  3. RUN
    good Treadmill 4.36 mi 00:45 10:19 pace

Very easy 45 min. Hamstrings are pretty sore after deadlifts on Saturday; finally started a strength training program this weekend. Tried out my new NB Minimus Trail Zeros, which felt great.

I like mine too, just with they were a little closer to the ground :)

I love the Adams, they are a perfect compliment to the huaraches. They feel very similar in terms of ground feel but are enclosed for colder runs. I have done multiple half marathon distances in the Adams, both with and without Injinji socks, and just plain really enjoy them. As far as VFF's I think the SeeYa may be my main interest if I were to ever spring for them.

Will have to check out the Adams. I did try out the SeeYa, but found that it cut into my Achilles tendons a bit.

  4. RUN
good Hill repeats on Dexter Dr 3.23 mi 00:35 10:50 pace

After getting my ass kicked by the Shamrock Scurry course on Wednesday, I decided I need to work on some hills. Luckily, there's a pretty serious one around the corner from my house.

    Went out... read more

  5. RUN
alright Lake Overstreet Trail 5.01 mi 00:46 09:07 pace

Felt pretty wiped out, plus I got a nice blister on my left pinkie toe. Might be time for new shoes.

  6. RUN
alright Shamrock Scurry 5K course 3.13 mi 00:25 07:58 pace

Decided to check out the course for this Saturday's Shamrock Scurry 5K, my first race since Memorial Day. Ouch, I am out of shape. Felt pretty hilly; Garmin says 130 ft of elevation gain, whic... read more

  7. RUN
good Short treadmill intervals 4.35 mi 00:40 09:09 pace

    10 min warm-up, 8 x 200m with 2 min recovery, 10 min cool-down. Each 200 was right around 6:00/mile pace.

  8. RUN
alright Lake Overstreet Trail 3.03 mi 00:29 09:37 pace

2nd run in the Spyridons, and my left Achilles tendon started to hurt around 2.5 miles. Something similar happened with my KSO's once but never with my Bikilas. After another 1/2 mile, I decid... read more

Me too. Thanks, John. It was tempting to run through the pain, but I could barely walk for 3 days after I messed up my Achilles in the KSO's.

good Treadmill tempo 5 mi 00:42 08:22 pace

    1 mi warm-up, 3 mi progressive (7:47, 7:23, 6:59), 1 mi cool-down. The MV2's felt good.

  14. RUN
good Lafayette Heritage Trail 6.5 mi 01:01 09:22 pace

My long run for the week was not very long: 1 hour easy. Felt pretty good, though.

  15. RUN
    good Rhoden Cove/Lake Shore 4.01 mi 00:35 08:38 pace

Just an easy 4 in the Vibrams, with a little push uphill for the last 400m or so.

  16. RUN
alright Shorts, slow treadmill tempo 4.01 mi 00:36 09:02 pace

    1 mi warm-up, 2 mi tempo (8:06, 7:48), 1 mi cool-down. Felt kinda sluggish.

  17. RUN
tired Lake Overstreet Trail 5.01 mi 00:46 09:10 pace

Not eating enough all day and waiting until late afternoon made this a tough slog.
