good Redbox™ Return (8x100 strides) 8.02 mi 01:02 07:40 pace

64F and 87% humidity this morning. Mixed my movie return with 8x100 strides. Legs felt pretty good after 17 yesterday. Tried to keep the pace fairly relaxed. I think I did a good job of that. I guess I'm officially in taper mode. This plan still calls for 47 miles this week with 13 next weekend. I like this better than really dropping off for the last 3 weeks. I think I'll stay fresher. Have a super Monday!

That's a good 8 to start the week and I totally agree on the taper. I much prefer a 2 week.

Ah the old Redbox return. Been awhile since seeing one of these I think. Great 8 to start the week.

Always good to keep including the strides during the taper. Nice way to start it off. I'm looking forward to bringing the strides back, hopefully this week.

Nice recovery! ;) I've read a number of times that our bodies aren't going to "forget" how to run after tapering for a few weeks, but I'm with you. Everything's relative after the peak, and dropping off too quick doesn't work for me, either.
