great Loop via Bettange & Kahler 41 km 01:30 17.1mph pace

Not bad for an 8:10pm start. Very encouraging, the first time my legs have done what I have wanted them to do this year. Route included Dippach, Kahler & Holzem hills.

  2. VELO
good Loop via Keispelt & Goetzingen 34 km 01:15 17.0mph pace

Starting to feel stronger. Very windy today.

  3. RUN
good Strassen loop 3.5 km 00:19 08:44 pace

A quick loop after physio. Very warm, glad I had an excuse to not do the ING last weekend.

  4. VELO
alright Jean Nelissen Classic 80 km 03:50 13.0mph pace

With Alan & Robert. I knew I wouldn't really be able for this because of all the climbing and lack of kms in the legs, but with 1,500m of elevation I shouldn't complain.

Brilliant effort, even without the lack of kms and knackered ankle. Well done!

  5. RUN
alright Loop via Mamer 7 km 00:47 10:41 pace

With Orla. Nice summer evening. Ankle was fine but the left knee felt a bit dodgy. Or maybe her pace doesn't suit me.

  6. VELO
good Randonee des Hauts Fourneaux 70 km 02:38 16.5mph pace

Very windy, which literally really took the wind out of my sails at times.

  7. RUN
    great Aubepines 5 km 00:31 09:58 pace

First run since breaking the ankle, with my lovely wife who is training for the half marathon. Enough about her. Left foot muscles twitched a bit at the start but they got used to it. Off to the fr... read more

  8. VELO
good Loop via Capellen & Bettembourg 63 km 02:23 16.4mph pace

With Alan, from Dippach onwards. Good, still no power on hills of any description (Mamer-Dippach hill 9m10s for future comparison). But the good news is that the ankle felt fine throughout and afte... read more

    great Bertrange 13 km 00:44 11.0mph pace

A test ride with Ben and Harry on his new road bike to teach him how to use his gears.

  11. VELO
good Loop via Fingig 32 km 01:08 17.5mph pace

Short of time so squeezed this in. Don't have stamina on the hills which is annoying.

Good to see you back, and nice to see that the magic counter is still in full swing! Are you on for a cycle tomorrow?

good Loop via Messancy 61 km 02:22 16.0mph pace

With Robert, Freddie & Paul. Happy with the ride. Went to bed at 4am the night before so can't complain. Starting to feel a bit stronger.

  13. VELO
    good P&T Freijoers Randonee 75 km 03:10 14.7mph pace

With Robert. Super route & one of the best organised cycling events I've been to. Shouldn't be doing more than this distance for the next while. Legs and ankle didn't fail but I ... read more

Not bad going all the same, even without a bad ankle. Saw this event about a week ago advertised and also thought it looked a nice.

Well done - can't believe that you're out on the bike already. Last time I saw you you were on sticks. Don't do an Andy on it coming back too early! Never heard of this one - was it today or yesterday?

With Ben on his 13th birthday. First cycle since 2012 & since breaking my ankle 2 months ago. Both ankle & leg muscles held up well, and better than expected when out of the saddle. There w... read more

Good on you for getting out there! I'm sure the "twisting" will return with time and rehabilitation. When I severely sprained my ankle a couple of years back I had same problem, but now ok.
