yup, tried the tape. the only consultation i've got in so far is a chiro. dad at swimming. when i came back from this failed run yesterday, he said "you're not being honest with yourself. the only way that this will go away is rest." i go to glen sather on tuesday.

I know this is hard...especially for you. But think long term...do what you need to do for healing...and you will be back at it! IT's TOO important to make sure we listen to our bodies!! We only have one of them. Take care!

adam. i have definitely come to rely on the garmin. especially in this season. i'm running paces that i have never dreamed of which means that on some days, i need the watch to show me what i'm actually doing. i hope i can lead others to greatness, but i'm not counting on it as a skill.

It's not snow, but we had frost here today. Where's global warming when you need it? Hopefully you can put the dread mill on moth balls until next winter.

Dan, Logan's football trainer makes them do "dead treadmill". The treadmills are off and they have to run on them using only man-power. That might mix it up a bit for you? LOL

Nice run Dan. I prefer a faster too, but unfortunately I can't hold it. Maybe if I dropped 20 pounds or 20 years it would be a different story.

it is cowardly. that's part of what makes me so angry. i'm not sure i can make sense of it, but at least, running helps me settle and deal with my emotions. these major races, and maybe all big sporting events, will likely never be the same.

I wondered how Tom and them were but I knew they finished so quick they should have been gone....wow! I agree the emotions tied to it as a runner are just so deep.
