Mike, my experience is that Nathan has a more comfortable vest but Camelbak have better bite valve and refilling system.

my wife and I have used the camelbak octane xc(?) for a long time and they work great. hold 72 ozs and have lots of storage room for gels and toilet paper, etc. for long runs. they're washable too. there are bigger ones and smaller ones that go by different names. one last note, michael, I have never seen the octane xc in the store, so for her to see it and try it on you may have to special order it at scheels or a running store. then she could try it on and make a decision. good luck.
