  1. goodLong run 12.1 mi / 02:05 10:17 pace

Surprisingly good run. I wasn't feeling the love and decided to just do an easy 6 miles. By mile 6, I was feeling pretty good, so thought I'd keep going. At mile 8, I decided to take the long way home, which would have been 9.5 miles. At 9 miles, I... read more

  2. greatRun #2 4.34 mi / 00:40 09:17 pace

After a break to pick up kids from school, I headed out for another run. I did the first three miles at an average pace of 8:47, then slowed way down to cool down.

  3. greatRun #1 3.66 mi / 00:32 08:46 pace

    LOVE LOVE LOVE spring running!

  4. 9 mi / 01:30 09:56 pace

Good and bad run. My new shoes were a horrible failure and my foot went numb, but I managed a decent pace (especially after I changed shoes at mile 6). I also did a preview run of the Four Courts Four Miler and found that the hill at the end wasn't a... read more

  5. goodQuarter mile intervals 4 mi / 00:37 09:16 pace

6 x quarter mile at an 8 minute pace. I managed to hit all 6 between 1:58 and 2:01, but the last two were a struggle. I'm definitely slowing down on shorter distances as my endurance builds for the marathon.

Nice job on the intervals!!! I noticed when I learned to push myself farther, I slowed down drastically. Why can't we have it all !!??

  6. tired 4 mi / 00:42 10:29 pace

I planned to do 8, but after the 17.5 the day before, my body and mind were having none of it. I also ended up skipping the gym on Thursday. I just needed a break.

  7. good17 miler 17.5 mi / 03:01 10:19 pace

Very hilly, so I'm quite happy with my pace. I used an ipod for the first time on a LONG run and I think I'm a convert. I felt strong until mile 15 and then focused on the music, instead of my tired legs.

Sorry I've not been around much - the parent... read more

  8. alrightVirtual marathon relay 5.3 mi / 00:51 09:34 pace

I volunteered at a 5k this morning and, while I had a fabulous time, I got so cold that I could NOT get warm all day. Finally, dad and I went out for a "slow recovery" run. Apparently he was more recovered than I was LOL and we managed a ni... read more

  9. greatSpeedy 4 mi / 00:36 08:54 pace

Hilly and windy, but I ran with my dad and we rocked it!

  10. goodLong run 16.1 mi / 02:44 10:11 pace

This was my first really long run for this marathon. I try to keep "half marathon" fitness at all times, so this was my first stretch. It went really well! My paces were pretty even, despite hills and I didn't die of boredom (I have to run... read more
