RUN
great 9 mi
I was so excited that I found my beanie cap that I lost on my last run. It was on a dirt road that is rarely used and with all the rain we had it was covered in mud.

RUN
tired 19 mi 03:56 12:25 pace
I was surprised how great I felt for the majority of today's long run (granted I was doing my best to go low and slow). I was even productive with my time -- I ran to the bank to do a deposit... read more

That is a great marathon pace. Totally enjoyable :) And Jessi is planning on running the full she said she might have you and I go ahead depending on how her knee is doing. Have you signed up yet?? I need to do that ASAP! :)

Funny, the thought on my mind during my last mile was, "there is not possible way I can do an Iron." But then again, I have learned not to give to much attention to myself in that state of mind.

It is totally a mental thing. The body is amazing...it can do a lot more than your mind thinks it can. I think if you can get your brain on board you can do anything. (at least that is what I tell myself) ;)

Hurray!! Glad you are planning to run with us. And I am not sure what our pace will be either. Jessi is battling a hurt knee right now. Good to be wise on your knees. I should tell Jessi about the oils for her knee. Well good luck tomorrow! Can't wait to hear how it goes. Love ya

Ask your doTERRA guy in ward (Taylor knows him) if he has any oils for knees -- knowing most reps they would would be happy to share some samples. I have had great success with Deep Blue Rub. Works wonders. Cypress has worked for others too.

RUN
alright 8 mi 01:19 09:55 pace
I wish I had not taken so long to get in a longer run. I had to really push myself just to get my normal pace. Thank goodness I had my new Garmin. It kept me on target.

Nice work McKay!

First half marathon. Here's hoping my body can get used to more of these long runs.

You are amazing McKay!! I was thinking about you the past two Sat. and wondering if you got in some more long runs. Hope the watch is treating you well!!

Well it is up to you on how you are feeling...but my friend Jessi ran 12 with me almost three weeks ago and then she did not run at all until this past sat when we did 16. And then we are doing 18 this Sat and then 20 the next. And I think she is only getting the long ones in with nothing in the middle. So it is possible for sure. And you could hang with us for sure. (if you want to...you probably would want to go faster). SOOO glad that you are enjoying the watch! So nice to run wherever you want....

Longest run of my life. My muscles hate me.

The more you do long runs the more your muscles get use to not hating you as much :) But I like to remember it is kinda nice to feel sore that means you know things are toning up :)

So awesome that your kiddos are going to run too!! Gordon ran a mile with Taylor the other morning. He did a great job. Not quite ready for a 5K yet, but I am sure soon he will want to do it. He always talks about "training for his triathlon" :)

2 miles, nice! I'll tell Gordon. I'd never asked him to run further than .3 before. So it was a big jump. He did 13:15. I'm going to build him up to the 5k.
