I know it has been awhile, but I'm still around. I've just been taking it easy and trying to focus on recovery. I had a PT session on Monday and I was very, very sore on Tues and Wed. I wrapped the leg yesterday, which I think helped. I told myself that if I woke up this morning and felt ok, then I would go out for a short run.
The soreness from earlier in the week had decreased and I headed out for a four miler. Man, do I miss early morning runs. No one else awake, sun still down, cool temps, silence on the streets, etc. I wrapped the leg during this run and it felt pretty good. I have another PT session today and three more scheduled for next week.
Hope everyone has a great day and a great weekend!

Good run, nice to see you back... Just don't rush! Hammies are a BITCH to get healed up... Sometimes they just take time, which of course us running type A people have trouble with...

Thanks, Chaz. I know what you mean about the hamstring recovery, as I'm going on six months now. I'm really focusing on the PT, foam roller, stick, dynamic stretching, back posture, etc.

I had an Achilles injury years ago... It was the same way... Months and months of recovery, and at one point I thought it was "good enough" to run on again and I ended up just undoing all the healing... I missed the better part of a year with that one.

It's inspiring just to see you out there again. Take care of that hamstring, Mike, and I'm sure we'll see you running regularly again soon.

Mike, take the time to recover. Running will be there when you're fully healed. We're in this for the long haul:)!!!
