Forgot to post this from yesterday. Instead of driving to the pharmacy, I rode my bike. I think I scared the drive-though employee though.

How did it feel, Mike? Any pain or has the patience and cycling paid off?

The run felt fine, but it is afterwards that has tightness in the back of the leg and some heel pain. Oh well, I enjoyed it out on the road.

The ending of every one of my rides. Today, it came at mile 50. I will beat it one day. Today, it took my overall mph avg down 0.2 mph. The day will come when my overall avg won't drop at all.

A lot of runners had long runs this weekend for upcoming marathons, so I decided to go for a long bike ride. Love being out there for a few hours and getting in a good workout.

Wow, a 50 mile ride sounds damn long to me! Since I've never done a cycling, I don't know what an 18.3MPH pace feels like. If that were a run, what kind of running pace would it have felt like?

Super saddle time on the bike, Mike. Way to get up that final hill at the end.

Sean, I'm not sure how it would translate into running. It's hard to explain, but it's a different type of workout. I'm not nearly in the same shape I was last year, but my heart rate average was 141 bpm for today's 51 mile ride at 18.3 mph. Looking back at last year, I had a 20 mile run at 7:37 and averaged 141 bpm. Not sure if that's a good comparison or not.
Thanks, Jeremy! That hill makes it fun to push it at the end.
