After yesterday's 18, had NO expectations for this race - only ever run one other 10k (in a little over 47:00), so just hoping to PR and not worry if I didn't. Ran with new Portlander Lauren R. - we took it a little easy for the first few miles, then decided to push the pace and negative split when it still felt good. First mile in 7:38, last in 6:21 with a surge at the end. Couldn't be more psyched about this weekend's runs - totalled almost exactly a marathon and felt really good doing it.
