Well at least I finished....

I was right on time leaving the park, then got to 42nd and hit the wall hard. The last two miles were really tough. I don't think 1:47 was realistic today even with a full week of training coming into the race. I did make my original goal of breaking two hours in my first half.

This is really going to motivate me for the Staten Island half in October. My back and hips are a little sore, but my foot feels great.

I swear it wasn't me in the crab hat. I was looking for the DMers at the end of the race but couldn't find anyone in the huge crowd!

Overall: 3034/10167 - good
Gender: 2118/5032- sorta good
Age: 400/883 - eh

Congrats to everyone that ran today! You all did great under really tough conditions!

This was your first half? Awesome in breaking 2 hours. I don't think you should feel bummed out regarding time in the humidity of August. I'm sure you'll come back strong in SI.

Great job in the heat... ...I saw you broke your toe the next day in soccer!? I guess that makes up for your foot feeling good after the race?! Good job finishing under 2 hours with a crab hat. :-)
