good Swim Leg of OC Triathlon Mission Viejo 1857 yd 00:34 31:54 pace

Tri lake swim. Felt pretty comfortable, relaxed. Solid. However, my time was a minute slower than last year. I think I swam a bit extra yardage by going wide around a couple of buoys. I did notice while riding my bike afterwards and lifting my arms up to move my braid behind my back, that my triceps were sore. I didn't go super hard but I sure wasn't slacking, either. Official swim time 34:44. For 1500 m. Includes run up to the transition pad, but that was short.

I was hanging with a couple of other ladies for most of the swim. Sometimes I would get almost on top of one of them or be touching their feet or bumping into their sides. I would try to back off. I did get an elbow in my left cheek bone near the end. Not too bad. I really would like to step up my triathlon swims and make them faster. Hmmm.
