Warmup: 400 swim, 300 drill, 200 kick, 100 scull.
Main set:
6x125 [75 free, 50 breast w/dolphin kick].
12x25 sprints on. :30.
Cool down: 150 ez.
So went to the pool late, after getting home from my bike crash today. Left knee not feeling so great, but hoping I can do something in the pool to move it around and make it feel less stiff. Thinking movement will help it feel some better. Also, it was a fabulous day with beautiful sunshine and temps in the low 70s. How could anyone resist an afternoon swim like that?
Warmup felt OK and on the 200 kick I started off easy, but the more I kicked the better the bum leg felt, so I kind of did a "build" on the kicking portion. For drills I did 75 fist, 100 OK 50 head tap, 75 fingertip.
Then after the warmup coach asked if I wanted to continue or just cut it short and get out. He's worried for some reason that I might overdo. He should know me better by now. I told him I wanted to keep going. So I did the 6x125 and that felt good. The sprints were a little tough. I was barely hanging on and making the interval by the end. Of course, I remember when I couldn't even hold this interval. It's only been since June 2011 I've been able to swim 25s on the :30, so I guess I should be happy that I can do so many on that interval.
Short cool down because I was already just past 1 pm at this point (which is when the swim session ends). When I got out my knee felt better than before the swim. Of course, in the meantime it has stiffened up. Oh well. I will swim again tomorrow morning. That should help, I hope.

Well done swim after your bike crash. Your awesome!

You are AMAZING!!! Most people would have gone home and sat on the couch feeling sorry for themselves, but NOT you!!! You are a strong woman and athlete, I will remember your strength the next time I want to bail on a hard run :D Take care of yourself!

Thanks, folks. Katie, it's way better to get in the pool and swim than sit on the couch and feel sorry. The first one makes you feel great. The other one, the opposite.
