  1. RUN
great Forest Lawn Shuffle 7.55 mi 01:01 08:07 pace

    Powered by breath!

  2. RUN
    alright Verdugo 10K+ 9.56 mi 01:59 12:24 pace

They're not kidding with that elevation chart. Walked most of the uphill, cruised the single track & fire road on top & coasted down.

Cool. So you took Brandt Rd up from Glendale?

Yeah, I guess so. Whatever that fire road is from the Doctor's House in the Library Park on the Glendale side. It ended at the top at that sign we stopped at and took pictures. I think you'd pointed it out as the top of the Verdugo 10K to me. I then ran the single track to the next tower station, heading towards downtown, and back. Thought about you guys up there!

  3. RUN
great Home Run Deluxe 6.01 mi 00:48 08:03 pace

Playing with breathing patterns is trippy. Whole new element to factor. Big effect.

  4. RUN
great Home Run 3.54 mi 00:28 07:54 pace

Back from sick. Lungs heavy. Focused on breath.

  5. RUN
great Hillsborough River State Park 12.38 mi 02:08 10:18 pace

Great antidote to a frustrating tech support day troubleshooting my in-laws wifi. Beautiful single track wetlands run!

  6. RUN
great Zephyr Backside 6.36 mi 00:52 08:05 pace

Making shorter runs work for me w/ speed. Nice change from base building. I-Ching training plan.

  7. RUN
great Zephyr Shorty 3.67 mi 00:31 08:34 pace

Nice run with brother Mark. Good to be out. Shorty is better then nuthin'.

  8. RUN
great Zephyr Loop 5.9 mi 00:51 08:42 pace

Missed a few days with travel & crap HRV. Should know better and just get out, even if a short one.

  9. RUN
good Home Run 5.54 mi 00:45 08:08 pace

Mod spd, tired legs, busted out old Torins. Comfy, but bulky & loud. Curious 2 try #Altra Instinct 2.0's.

Home run? 5.5 miles is a long time to circle the bases. You're only supposed to go around the diamond once you know?

  10. RUN
    alright R/W (5/1) Toluca/Griffith Tra... 16.8 mi 03:00 10:42 pace

Run walk seemed a good idea for my achilles, but got progressively harder to resume after breaks. Evil

  11. RUN
great Forest Lawn Shuffle 7.86 mi 01:16 09:39 pace

4/1-run/walk. Taking it easy after first hill repeats in a while.

  12. RUN
good Hill Repeats 7.33 mi 01:09 09:25 pace

    Hill repeats: WU + 8x + CD

  13. RUN
great Home Run 6.45 mi 00:55 08:31 pace

    4/1 Run/Walk experiment. Good times.

  14. RUN
good By Way of Silverlake 20.38 mi 03:32 10:23 pace

Always wanted to do that! Toluca Lake to Silverlake Reservoir, by wave of Griffith/LA River

  15. swim
    good 24 Hr. Fitness 1625 yd 00:42 45:29 pace

Once again I'm discovering I've been measuring my swims. First I was stupidly calculating 50m/lap, then I corrected to 25m, only to discover my pool is 25yrds.

  16. RUN
great Reverse Home Run 6.36 mi 00:56 08:44 pace

    Nice, flat & consistent.

  17. swim
    great 24 Hr. Fitness 1500 yd 00:40 46:55 pace

Achilles insertion point is feeling dodgy. Compensating by stepping up my laps. Felt good to take it to a new level. If it's not 1 thing, it's another. The conversation w/ my body continues.

  18. RUN
alright Kiera Griffith Training + 11.76 mi 02:31 12:48 pace

Man, that week of work in the middle of my 50K training really threw off my game. Remind me to do my long run first & then follow it with a shorter run, not the other way around.

I'm planning on Born To Run or Big Basin. I basically just started a 50K program, I seemed to be able to keep up with it, so those are the closest Ultras to the end. You interested?

good Autry Loop 7.91 mi 01:21 10:10 pace

Planned for 2 loops. Ditched at one. Saving it for tomorrow.
