Don't know why, but this afternoon I had the dreaded Dead Leg Syndrome. They were wonky even during my warmup, and after doing only one 800 I bailed on the workout. Going to hit it tomorrow ... read more

Taking it easy on the treadmill after my swim. Anything over an hour on the treadmill gets old, but I'm just economizing my time.

Short long run 10 mi 01:13 07:17 pace
These weekends aren't being very nice to my training, but I'm getting lots of family time. Either way, my 16 was cut short to 10 as this is all the time I had.

Lil noon ride 50 mi 02:28 20.3mph pace
Finished my yard work and machete wielding and got some miles in on the bike. Kept the pace steady and pushed the effort the last 10. Getting hot out there.

So, you decided to wait until it warmed up and got windy before your bike ride. Nice ride Mark.

Recovery 7.5 mi 01:00 08:00 pace
Legs were pretty sore this morning. Feels so good to know I worked hard. Distance is an estimate as I just trudged along for 60 minutes and thought about work.
-
I felt the same way yesterday, didn't mind being pokey as I felt I'd earned it, for once. Nice job, I forgot my watch today so my run will be purely estimated too (and on trails, that will make it a true SWAG).

Hurt Locker 11 mi 01:13 06:35 pace

Great work Mark. I hate the miles too (though I just wrote them on my schedule in a few weeks). I prefer to do 5:00 intervals, which Daniels calls the ideal interval length anyway.
