@mark, As much as I prefer running outside, I'm finding that the TM teaches me to concentrate more on my form because the belt keeps going no matter what. It doesn't allow me to be lazy and change pace/form on a whim. You're right, it also helps train my mind to stay tough during the entire run. Plus, I have an active mind that never gets bored and don't require a lot of outside stimulation.

I've done some long slogs on the TM, but I don't think I hit the 2-0 mark (18 might've been my max). Hat's definately off to you, dude! Great job and I totally agree with Mark K's sentiment about loooong TM runs teaching us mental toughness. Great work!

@rachel Yeah, that's why they're called recovery runs. Ryan Hall calls them yogs (slower than jogs), running so slowly that even Grandma is passing you. Some of my miles were even in the high 9's. It's learning to run on tired legs that gives the benefit for these runs, not the speed.
