Nice easy run!

I always chose to run the Chicago Marathon because it is usually cool in Oct -- it will definitely take some time for me to feel good running in the ATL heat -- great job!

Your miles are adding up nicely this week!

Thanks, Gail. Just rebuilding some fitness, hoping to add some miles each week while maintaining the track workouts. Barring any issues I should be able to build to some good numbers over the summer. Meanwhile, you seem to be having fun with all the races! - Except for the Peachtree, I probably won't be racing again until Fall.

I could tell my breathing was still off in the heat last night and my legs were tired. It takes me a while to get acclimated and I don't think I have ever really developed enough heat endurance to pick up the pace in the heat. Will have to work on that this summer.

Elise, I try to run at noon a few days each week; it's pretty brutal the first few times, but the body adjusts, I'm still slow as molasses, but at least it's starting to feel more comfortable. By the time Peachtree rolls around, I'll be ready to go fast in the heat! :)
