A recovery week feels weird after so much building. Back at it in full force next week with my first 50k (31mi) "ultramarathon"... but will simply be a training run. Maybe I'll try to find a group to run with?

Major stitch in my side all of mile 2. Ran through it and ended up having one of my best morning runs in a long time!

  4. Completely disassembled my treadmill today to troubleshoot a problem with the circuit board. Second guessing my confidence now.

I completely disassembled my treadmill to haul it out of my in-law's basement and bring it into my own. Fortunately was able to haul it upstairs without taking it completely apart again...not sure it ever was the same ;)

Mine unfortunately has become Mr. Squeaky. I wd-40'd the badboy, but then the tread started to slip, not so good. A day later it was squeakin' again so I just deal with it.

Certainly feel like I am pushing my (#vff cladded) feet and legs further than I have before. Each of my long runs are now getting tougher and tougher, but the previous run distance is always becoming "easier". Thus... why we train. Running w... read more

I can't agree with you more. When I run in the dark it's mainly in the morning. I too don the reflective jacket, the head torch and my Road ID band. Two other things I use are a red blinking light that attaches to the back of my headtorch headband and on my Nokia E71 I run an App called Endomondo. This not only shows my speed and distance like my Garmin but my wife can always track me from the Endomondo website in realtime. It's a free app - check it out. Keep the videos coming.

I agree with your #2 - short, light steps in the dark are important.

Mid-day run in some beautiful sunshine!

Barely squeezed in a run! Video shoot w/ @AfferoProject kept me up late last night and decided to sleep in a bit this morning. But weather is warming up nicely so wearing shorts + short-sleeves in the dark is certainly a welcome change!
