  1. RUN
    great 4.02 mi 00:42 10:24 pace

Solo miles on the southend greenway. Absolutely perfect running weather! Couldn't find an excuse not to run.

  2. RUN
    6.2 mi 01:05 10:27 pace

Solo long run. Still learning routes & distances from the new neighborhood. And still learning not to trust the first mile (and maybe the second). My last mile was my fastest.

  3. RUN
    CHF Track 3.1 mi 00:37 12:01 pace

Date night! Run 1/walk 1 with the hubs.

How sweet. Sue and I went to the Wellness Center together, but she wouldn't run with me. She plopped down on a treadmill and I ran laps, so I smiled and waved each time by. That's the way 31 year married couples work out together!

We had a date night at CHF, too. Stayed until they closed. Must have missed you.

Seemed like not too many years ago Sue and I would close down a night club. Now it's the health club just like you Joan. Not that I'm complaining...

Intervals: Run 1 lap / Walk 1 lap.
Major thanks to Lisa & Robyn for pulling me along. And thanks to Teresa, Jess, and Valerie for not plowing me over ;)

  5. RUN
    3.5 mi

Home treadmill. Broke in the new workout room at the new house. It was also day 1 of catching up on 3 years worth of TV.

  6. RUN
    3 mi 00:36 12:00 pace

A run/walk from home to Apollo for Hudson's baseball tournament. Not one of my greatest decisions.

  7. RUN
    13.1 mi 02:28 11:15 pace

Not bad. I will take it. 3 minutes faster than my last half & did this one with a sore back & inadequate training. And it was HOT!

  8. RUN
    3.1 mi 00:40 12:58 pace

Great Grandma's 5K to kick off marathon weekend. I must admit, this was one of the most enjoyable 5Ks I've ever run/walked. Enjoyed the company of Lisa & Carter...and barefoot grandma... read more

    11 mi 02:08 11:39 pace

It wasn't pretty but it was the confidence booster I needed going into Saturday. I may just be able to finish 13.1 miles after all.

It's 11 miles, it doesn't have to be pretty but I'm sure it looked better than you think.

Are you planning to use run/walk intervals during your race? If you're concerned about finishing/not dying, shorten your run time. It will allow you to run farther/longer and often faster. Plus, you'll feel better afterwards.

I was hoping you would get there close to the same time as Roni so I could chase Nikki Jo, but used it as motivation...she was going to pass me any minute. :) Fun seeing them & so many familiar faces out there! Glad you were able to help them out!

Still struggling - especially the last 3 miles.'s the furthest I've run since the Wild Hog Half last fall so I guess that counts for something.
