Is today race day? Sending good vibes your way. You are such a talented runner and it pains me to see you with an injury. I know you have the courage and determination to run when you're capable and the wisdom to call it off when you can't run. Good luck!

Incredible, as always, Lynn. Nothing but the birds and sounds of your footsteps for the last 12 and you still held that pace? Terrific.

Wicked, Lynn. Terrific track work and a great mile time trial. The mile is one of the toughest races you can tackle. Sorta all out for four laps.

Holy crap that's a fast mile, Lynn. I think my fastest was 5:21 about 6-8 years ago or so, but I'm not build for speed. Much more suited for distance.

Ok, so there is a part here where I'm supposed to feel sorry for you about it being a bad run. However, I'm having a hard time getting past the fact that you were running on THE BEACH. Tell me you are running on hot coals and I will throw a sympathy bone. :P mwah!

Sounds like some tough footing, which means good training, right? Even if it didn't feel great, that's not a bad switch up. Will make those flat, non-beach Illinois miles feel like a breeze. :)
