      Aw, sorry you had a rough workout. I've been there. Speed work is tough, and it can be scary on the treadmill when you can't just ease up on the pace a bit. Especially when you feel like you can't breathe. And yes, not pooping your pants is a good thing, so it always could have been worse. :)

      Joanne, I *hate* the treadmill for speed work. Most of the time I'm holding on to the sides for dear life any speed above 6.5. I think last night my coach finally understood it when I told him a year ago I'm scared to go fast on a treadmill.

      Stephanie, thanks! Afterwards I was stomping around the gym and he asked if I was mad at myself. Damn straight I was...I was less than 200m from finishing! Haha. If only that drive applied to ignoring cookies.

      I have no doubt you will get through your recent struggles and fight your way back. You are a strong woman and I believe in you and what you can do. I have also been scared that I wouldn't be able to maintain certain paces when I've been working out with him as well. I always try to tell myself that it's just my brain trying to bring me down and my body will do what I tell it to. Doesn't make it easier but it helps me through. Hang in there!

    Feeling tired and dealing with ankle pain. This run was not the best, that's for sure!

  7. I just realized that a week from now I have to do a ten mile run. That makes me shake in my sneakers. Haven't run that far since October! Drake is in a month!

    I was supposed to do 1000x3, but that was just not happening today. Having shin pain in the left leg and just really tired. So instead we did 1000x1 @ 10:10, 800x1 @ 9:30, 400x1 @ 8:40.

      Don't be too hard on yourself. Shin pain is nothing to mess around with. It sounds like you still got a solid workout in today.

      Especially when Tim makes us do them in the gym. Then I'm counting laps the whole time! We were supposed to do four, but I'm having major shin pain after the 10K. Taking today off and hoping it goes away!

      Yea that is a hard one for me too. I want to strengthen the legs and build muscle but don't want the fatigue.
