Felt good to lace up the shoes, put on the Big Horn shirt from last year to get in the right mindset and get in a short run on the trails in my neighborhood. I'm still not 100% yet and my heart rate was higher than normal by about 15-20 pts for this effort on this trail. Hopefully taking it easy the next few days will have me showing up at Big Horn rested and ready to take on another 50 miles.

Chrisite, You have done so much running since last year, you are going to do well at Bighorn. With the mild winter, the course is going to be in your favor as well. Being fresh at the start is more important than slamming in the miles this week! Your base is strong!
