    Got in some miles on vacation, but couldn't really stay on track. Got back to it today. 25 min run...longest yet. Signed up for a 5k on July 16. Would love pointers on what to expect!

      Looks like you're making strides in the right direction :-) My best advice is if it's a big race, line up with a faster group than you think you will actually run. It is hard and frustrating to get out from behind people who are walking/jogging/have strollers etc. Also, just go out and have fun!

      Thanks for the input! LOL, with the heat, I think I will be lucky if I can run the whole thing. My goal is just to finish (hopefully running the whole thing) without getting heat stroke.

    Podrunner intervals week 6 day 1-Went to fast on first run and was feeling pretty tired by the last couple of minutes. Worst part is my shins were hurting by the time I got out of the showers. :(

    Podrunner intervals wk 5 day 3-this pace is averaged including walking 7 min for warmup/cooldown. I made it!! Running 20 min straight!! :D This is a HUGE accomplishment for me! I can do this!

      I really like it!! It is the same intervals as the C25K program, but has built in music that helps set your pace. Thanks!

      I usually do every other day at the most, but I got behind on the schedule and was trying to catch up. Won't be trying that again. I feel pretty good this afternoon though, so hopefully I didn't do too much damage. :)
