  1. tired 4 mi

4 miles today. Parents are having big health problems, so I've canceled everything for the next few days to get them back on track (or perhaps to get them onto a new track). Take care of your health, friends. I've been begging my parents to make change... read more

  2. good 7 mi / 01:08 09:42 pace

When what you WANT to run is zero miles, I'd say 7 is a pretty good number. May try to head out later today for a few more.

    • Vern M. Vern M.

Why zero, Leslie? Did you not feel like running before you went? Or was it going to be a rest day? Or hip pain? Anyway 7 IS a pretty good number!

  3. goodLotta yoga 01:30

Did a class at my old gym this morning. Did Yogalosophy this afternoon. Hoping the extra stretching will help with some persistent hip pain. Planning on running 10 tomorrow, so probably best to not be running today, right? But it was sunny and lovely ... read more

  4. greatRunning on Sunshine! 5 mi / 00:44 08:48 pace

Haven't seen the sun in what feels like forever! First mile = 8:30. Second mile played with foot turnover to "Merry Happy" by Kate Nash = 8:20. Third mile was WAY slower!!! Finished with 2 more sunny runny miles. :)

Nice run, Leslie! Glad you could enjoy the sun for a change!

I miss the sun too, but I wouldn't see it anyway because I am running at 6:00am.

I noticed this because it's the kind of car my husband just bought. But then I saw the license plate -- SWEET!

  6. good 10 mi / 01:36 09:35 pace

Vinyasa yoga yesterday. Run today. I'm liking the running/yoga combo a lot!

  7. good 14 mi / 02:18 09:51 pace

A race commitment will pull you forward even when you don't want to run at all. Run? Done!

Cool, I just ordered the book on Amazon, I read a few pages online and am hooked. I am planning on reading it now that I am training for the marathon in June, we are of similar minds! Hope you are enjoying the last of your weekend! Way to go on you running! We are going to attempt 12-15 next Saturday, personally I think it is too early for 15. I finally got fitted at Fleet Feet and now have a geat pair of running shoes.

  8. Michael B wrote a note about the "marys" he's done (30 in the last 8 years!) and that got me thinking: why is there no Mary Tyler Mary-thon in Minneapolis/St. Paul???

  9. good 6 mi / 01:01 10:09 pace

Thanks to Laurie A (who told me "there is no bad weather, only bad clothing") I got outside with a long sleeve top, a jacket, a skull cap, another jacket with a hood, and tights (yes, shoes too!). I did not see another runner anywhere, and th... read more

Thanks so much! Vern -- how is it that it felt like there was a headwind BOTH ways??? I just don't get that!

    • Vern M. Vern M.

Maybe the wind shifted! If it shifted just in time to keep up with your direction change, that is some poor luck. The wind gods frowned on you...
