  1. RUN
great Trent and Back 19.13 km 02:17 11:31 pace

Long Slow Distance. I'm trying the Maffetone Method with the two week test. So I was trying to keep my heart rate below 140 bpm. I found that to be difficult and averaged a heart rate of 155 bpm.

  2. RUN
    great Jackson's Park 10.28 km 00:57 08:56 pace

Not too bad for a gravel run. I think my feet are slowly getting used to it.

  3. RUN
great Sand Pit 2 km 00:30 24:08 pace

Bare hill repeats on sand cliffs. That burns the energy fast!

  4. RUN
great Trent and Back 10.4 km 00:59 09:03 pace

A peaceful run in beautiful weather.

  6. RUN
tired Trent and Back 14.29 km 01:26 09:41 pace

I was feeling the heat and humidity today. I started at a fast pace and gradually got slower. The legs are feeling this one and still feeling Thursday's workout.

  7. RUN
    good Jackson's Park 7 km 00:40 09:11 pace

Another workout on the crushed gravel path. :-/

  8. RUN
great Pub Run 10 km 00:52 08:22 pace

I was feeling energized tonight running with fast people.

  9. RUN
good Jackson Park Path with Rd. Back 14 km 01:17 08:51 pace

We started with three runners, but by the time I was heading back we had all gone our separate ways. I couldn't ask for better running weather though.

The lake is nice to have on the warm summer runs, even if it is just psychological. On the cold winter days however, the winds can be nasty by the lake.

  11. RUN
great Pub Run 9.4 km 00:52 08:54 pace

At 16°C, the cooler air gave me back some power. I have to take advantage of the few times I get ideal conditions for running and push myself a little harder.

  12. RUN
alright Trent and Back 11 km 01:15 10:58 pace

I was feeling the heat, so I took it slow and kept it short.

  13. RUN
    good Jackson's Park 8 km 00:50 10:03 pace

It was another day of sole training on the crushed gravel path. I think it might be slowly getting easier to run on this stuff, or it was just the added incentive of the hungry mosquitoes waiting f... read more

  14. RUN
good Pub Run 9 km 00:50 08:56 pace

The humidity was sapping my energy tonight, but I'll take it over the salty slush of winter.

  15. walk
    great Jackson's Park 10.5 km 01:30 13:47 pace

I'm suffering with a nasty cold virus, but I couldn't waste this great weather. This little adventure included running through the woods, crossing a creek on slippery rocks and climbing a... read more

  16. RUN
    good 5k Track TT 5 km 00:23 07:29 pace

It was my first time running on a new modern rubberized track. The surface was wet and I found that the track was bouncy and gripped my feet (friction). For the most part friction is something I tr... read more

  17. RUN
good Pub Run 9 km 00:50 08:56 pace

It was a nice run except that half way through I felt the heat sap my energy.

  18. RUN
    alright ST. Pete's Track 12 km 01:30 12:04 pace

I tried running in some shoes for a promotion just to confirm my reasons for not wearing them. I only wore them for the fist half of the workout, which was 4x800, 4x400 and 4x200. I was exhausted b... read more

great Pub Run 10 km 00:55 08:51 pace

  20. RUN
    good 14 km 01:50 12:38 pace

The crushed gravel is still a challenge but so was the heat today. I did half on gravel and half on concrete (with a couple of dirt trails here and there). It was just nice to be out in the warm su... read more
