Rode 4 horses as a warm up, then headed off to CST for my usual long run. I was hoping to do at least 10 miles, but my latest nuance, my knee, has been off for several days. My knee felt better today, actually it felt the best today than all week, but as I trotted onward it seemed to get more and more sore. I decided I would end the run at 4.0 miles in, this is where the hills start to take shape on the trail, and I am avoiding downhill transitions for the time being. I felt ok, a little soreness in the inside muscle next to the knee cap. The last 2 miles were more ouchy, than when I started. Tonight will be about ice and rest. Rest is planned for Monday and I'll see how things feel Tuesday. Can I just say, the weather is super nice, sunny, with a hint of coolness in the air. The trail was packed with people, it's so nice to be soaking up the rays.....hello spring!
