chuckle... love the pic!!! just bought a suit online - wetsuit outlet, cheap. But I don't know what I am doing... new to me! preferred sleevless, but our water in Virginia Beach is already at 72... and I did not give myself time to get used to sleeves.

That depends on the water temperature. If the water will be cold then you really would benefit from a full sleeve wetsuit. If the water is warm you will be much better off with a sleeveless suit so you do not overheat, and you can take advantage of the extra shoulder mobility. For me the water temp cut off for full sleeves is 69 degrees and below. Sleeveless above 69 degrees is probably just fine. But again, that's personal preference. Good luck!

I have each - depends on water temp - like Christine says - 67 -69 and up sleeveless - so you can swim hard and not overheat - overheating at the start of a race - No bueno . I will be sleeveless from here on out and its way more comfy - I do have both tho :)

I have both and love my sleeveless, but for a longer swim and/or colder water long sleeve is better.

Thank you everyone!!!!!! i am going to get a full sleeve for the 2.4 mile ocean swim off of Maine, and will likely just use my trisuit for the half iron in august....

Wish I could help. I've got both. I like the sleeveless better, but won't use it until the water is warm enough.
