Slow and under nourished run. I got up, did not eat more than a banana and visited with our house guests for two hours before heading out for a run. Needless to say my run was as energetic as hop... read more

RUN
6 km
First run in a week after a cold. At first my body was creaky and lots of small aches made their selves known. However, by the end of the run I felt great.

RUN
alright 14 km 01:54 13:06 pace
Ate a banana before going and drank a weak gatorade mixed with endurolyte solution. I was surprised that I felt as good as I did. I had some energy chews with me but never ate any.

Long slow run...I ran it with 10s and 1s and focused on keeping it at an ease pace. Last night I was super tired when I got home from the weekend away, so I opted to do the run on monday.

:) I think running it backwards might be in order. When I currently run this route, I go up a large set of stairs (318 steps) and the first half is flat, followed by gentle downhill. Reversing the route, would make it more challenging. But you know what? I will probably become a better runner if I reverse the route. OK, next time I will go in reverse.

meant to be 11, but ended up ... 9 km
Wow, it was super hot and humid. My body had had enough by the 9th km, so I walked the last two. I'm looking forward to my recovery week next week!

Lori
Where are you running these days, Lori? I notice the regular path has been fenced off at the bridge, boo!

Hi Glenna! I stopped running about this time last year due to a hip injury. I am slowly building up again. How are things going with you getting back to running?
