Hi Glenna! I stopped running about this time last year due to a hip injury. I am slowly building up again. How are things going with you getting back to running?

First run in a week after a cold. At first my body was creaky and lots of small aches made their selves known. However, by the end of the run I felt great.

Congratulations on your maiden digger! ;-p. Although I would have wished you a better surface for it; large gravel sounds awful. But don't you feel so badass now? :)

ha! :) I have to admit, I did feel a little badass running home with bloody knees. I wore pants to work that day and boy, going up and down the stairs was painful. I'm totally on the mend now.....

Long slow run...I ran it with 10s and 1s and focused on keeping it at an ease pace. Last night I was super tired when I got home from the weekend away, so I opted to do the run on monday.

Sometimes it's just good to wait a day, isn't it?! That's how I felt with my HS reunion this weekend. After dancing the night away on Saturday, I had to wait until today, too.

:) I think running it backwards might be in order. When I currently run this route, I go up a large set of stairs (318 steps) and the first half is flat, followed by gentle downhill. Reversing the route, would make it more challenging. But you know what? I will probably become a better runner if I reverse the route. OK, next time I will go in reverse.
