Wow! Those Kinvara's have really upped my pace! Only kidding (of course...) I was cycling but I forgot to change my settings. There's a lovely golf course near where I live, it has enticingly beautiful tracks running through it. Only problem is it's a very swanky golf club & very, very private. Usually I'm an upstanding, law abiding citizen but once I got a bit carried away & did something very naughty - I went for a cycle on the golf course tracks. It was very early & I thought it would be ok but before long a guy on a golf buggy tried to kill me - he came at me at great speed shouting & waving his arms & ran me off the track. Lesson learnt, I was sorry. Hold that thought for a minute.....Today I decided to go for a spin, wearing my special clippy on cycle shoes which I don't wear often because I'm so unco & they terrify me. Off I went & I saw a path I've never seen before, being the adventurous type I am I decided to go down it. Before too long I realized I was on the golf course!!! Not wanting to repeat previous experiences I pulled up quickly to turn around & leave - forgetting I was clipped in......SPLAT!!! over I went, straight into the bushes....Luckily it was a soft landing & no harm done but it was a bit tricky getting unclipped & up again!! Not a buggy in sight though :))) I really am a plonker

That is too funny Leanne! Great story! Hope you are doing okay!

And to think that some people really DO run that fast! I feel the same way about the clip ins.... first time I tried them I fell 3 times in the parking lot of the bike shop that sold them to me and I thought the guy would have a heart attack worrying that I'd break something. Used them for a while and then went back to normal pedals and shoes. Got to work up my nerve to use them again :-)
