Well, this run, the first in almost a week probably set me back. Trying to run with good forward leaning technique I was going super fast for me. But perhaps being super focused, I noticed how crappy the road is around my regular route. I felt like I was trying to tiptoe finding good places to land. Well, after my typical 1 mile warmup, as I headed to do the remaining 3 miles, my knee just told me it wasn't going to cooperate. So I turned around and took my time coming back. The good news was I didn't feel any pain about 15 minutes after stopping so I don't think it's too bad, just need to give it more rest. Got a massage that evening and worked the foam roller and felt almost as good as new the next morning. Ran for the first time in my Brooks Pure Flow and I'm going to have to shelve these until I have better form. Despite trying to land on the mid foot, I pretty much shaved the heel off of these, after only two miles. I guess it's the Nike Free and my old Brooks GTS until I get it down better.
