I didn't realize how chlorinated the pool was until I started swimming in other pools. The best pool I swam in was in Europe. I didn't think they had any chlorine in the water until someone told me they put in just the right amount. Good workout.

You know, I joined LA Fitness because of the proximity, and it's quite a difference from the Y. Simiarl I'm guessing to the 24F in mid-town. At the Y I'd say the average age at midday workouts 75. At LAF, it was funny, there was a late model corvette in the closest handicapped spot. With a handicapped sticker, granted, but I've never seen a corvette in a Y parking lot. Not even downtown.

Funny you should say that because the first few laps I shared a lane with someone doing doggie paddle. Yes, doggie paddle. Didn't quite know what to think of that.
