    Kept it a little short again today. Had to mow right after and knew I was headed to Crossfit tonight. Still felt good and I am getting my speed up where it should be.

    Loved this workout!! I am finally getting more weight on my back squats!! Very sore now, but it was worth it!

      sounds tough! I've never tried adding weight to squats, opting for quantity using just my body weight. or effectively doubling the weight by doing single-leg lunges.

      I haven't ever ridden in fog. I imagine it must be quite disconcerting to not be able to see where you are going. Super effort today!

    First ride in a couple of weeks. Felt great to be on the bike again. Did a slightly shorter and slower trip for the first one out. Looking forward to getting back to riding 3 times a week.

      congratulations, Laura. This is your first race, am I right? Yes, these holiday races (Turkey Trots too) are often more about fun than setting records. But if this was indeed your first 5k, then congratulations on your PR (personal record)! :) This was also your kids' first race too, right? What a blast, to do it as a fam. For all the racing I've done in the past 3 years, I've not yet had the joy of doing it with any family. Good on ya!

      Actually, this is my 3rd race with the family but it has been over a year since our last. We had planned on doing a lot of them but it is too expensive.

      Excellent work Laura. Even with lack of training, I think we have all surprised ourselves in races at some point. Now you have a benchmark to work with. Great job!
