      Mucho Achilles tendon stretches are the best for that. Drop the heel off the curb and hold for 30 seconds, switch sides. Then stand on street level and flex back with ball of foot against the curb and hold 30 sec, repeat. I fight the SAME STUFF - ugh! Foam roller & ice regularly! Don't let it become a stress fracture!

      How long have you had your shoes? Maybe the sole is too soft for you? My husband got shin splints from a too-soft shoe.

      BTW, I'm no doctor .. but that's what I found helps me when I get inflammation from working out.

  14. Stressing a little... need to pick up the pace the days are getting by me! I have slowed down a bit on my training due to leg pain and weather conditions. Heading out for a 7 miler today!
