Funny, but mine was the same race in 2008. I remember the huge American flag hanging between the fire trucks ladders. It was very inspirational. I also agree with you about the strollers, since I almost got got tripped on several occassions. All I could see was me and someones child tumbling onto the asphalt.

I totally agree with Steve S, bike computers are cheap and do the job just nicely. I have one on my mtn bike but I want to get a road bike so I can do long rides on the road. No fun on a mtn bike lol.

I used my 410 on my bike for awhile until I needed it to last for my metric centuries. There is a rubber thing to mount the watch on your bike. I ended up getting a bike computer for the longer rides after a couple years. It's a good, cheap alternative for now.
