    My pedometer arrived the other day. My company gives you an extra $500/pa. Just for wearing and registering how far you walk everyday. Its 3pm and I am up to 5600 already. Goal - lame.

      My friend at the bike shop says sugar is not good. Carbs are what you need. Small boiled potatoes are great mate.Cadel says have the sugar when you get home.

      Well I concur - my stomach was wound up in circles. I've always found gu and electrolyte stuff fine. But pure sugar - which I'd been drinking in the form of lemonade all day - blrgh.

      Cadel Evans will tell you carbs are more important than sugar, but I have to admit I rely a lot on salts and sugars as well. Four hours is a good time for 100+ km!
